Happy Father’s Day weekend, everyone! We want to honor all of the fathers and father-figures out there, along with the dedicated men on our staff who work every day to make a difference in children’s lives.
Our videographer, Kylie Turley, filming inside a Good Neighbors school in Wharf Jeremie, Haiti last week. The footage is part of two documentary shorts we’re producing on a community of 300 children who will be available for sponsorship in June.

January is International Creativity Month! We always encourage children to express their creativity in any way they choose to. In the annual updates from the children of Good Neighbors, they draw colorful pictures to send to their donors.

On December 28, 2012, Good Neighbors Cambodia hosted a birthday party for all children that were born in the month of June to December. Staff members handed out gifts to each child in celebration of their birthday and Christmas. Good Neighbors Cambodia hosts a party for the children twice a year, every year, in June and December.
On Friday, December 14th, Good Neighbors Guatemala staff traveled with a group of 54 volunteers to the Municipality of Conguaco Jutiapa for a day of sports, games, and drama activities with 250 children between the ages of 1 and 15 years old. All of the children received gifts donated from the “Perfect Gift” campaign, which included educational supplies, hygiene kits, clothes, toys and encouraging personal letters from sponsors.
Happy Human Rights Day, everyone! People are still fighting til this day for their rights, help make a difference and raise awareness.
Our Deputy Director and Donor Management Assistant did some fundraising on the East Coast and were able to secure 84 new child sponsorships! Thank you to the many generous donors in that region for sending so many kids to school.
