There’s more than 1,500 elementary students living in Nacasangwe, Madale in Tanzania and only one elementary school, classrooms can be filled with upwards of 100 kids.  The city has no middle school so students will walk 1.5-2 hours every morning to go to school.

Kia Motors in partnership with Good Neighbors, are retrofitting trucks to provide safe transportation for students, and have begun plans to build a new middle school in Nacasangwe.  This is all part of a larger effort to increase literacy rates, improve treatment of tropical diseases, and revamp the village’s public transit system.
